Women born as big babies are more likely to have breast cancer.
Well, since I wasn't that large, I certainly hope that I won't have it. However, breast cancer does have a high rate of survival, about 83 percent. Anyways, I always thought that women with big breasts were more likely, but now that is proven wrong, in a way. The researcher does say that she's not sure whether the environment would play a part. I also do research on breast cancer at my USC lab. I just want to say, working on any kind of cancer is super hard. In fact, trying to find cures are the hardest. Even if this is a little bit of research, it can help other researchers progress further on their own projects.

xoxo, Mems. Now, Im off to learn how to label skin tissue. =] Wish me luck.

All about Physiology

When people think Physiology, they think anatomy. Skin, bones, muscles, the blood veins that are spread throughout our entire body, it's quite interesting. I like learning about what happens within my body, the reasons for why I can't wake up early in the morning, and why I hate running. (Okay, I know why I hate running, but it's still fun analyzing it and everything)
Although my sweet physical features may not reveal the twisted personality underneath, I really really like to disgust people with descriptions of how the body functions. I am addicted to medical dramas like House and Fringe. I like Fringe because of all the weird, creepy coincidences. Science is a beautiful thing, beautiful enough to twist into a tool to promote our own wishes and to make people feel like throwing up when they learn the truth. Metaphorically speaking, Physiology is like Chinese food, it tastes good as long as you don't know the ingredients.
On another subject besides Physiology, I suppose I should talk about myself. I am short (thank you for the genetics, Mom and Dad), can't live without Music, and I am a very social person (supposedly). Anyways, I don't like talking about myself which as you most likely will know means I wont be shelling out a few hundred dollars an hour to talk to a therapist about how horrible I feel about myself. Maybe with all the money saved, I can afford college. =]
